Starting in January 2008, I am spending a year in Guatemala serving as an Individual Volunteer in Mission with the United Methodist Church. I will be working around Lake Atitlan particularly in San Juan La Laguna to convert an abandoned Methodist Church into a Medical/Dental clinic and community use classroom. I will be coordinating the building of the clinic and hosting and working with volunteer teams who come to help build the clinic. I will be here in Guatemala for probably a year until the project is finished. I am so excited about this opportunity; please read my blog entries for updates about my trip and the project.
